About Rancho Foundation

For over 40 years, the Rancho Foundation has raised funds for the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center patients and their families to provide specialized programs, services, and equipment that would otherwise go unfunded. It is the mission of the Foundation to help pediatric and adult patients, whose lives have been forever changed through disabling injuries or illnesses, experience the Restoration of Health, the Rebuilding of Lives, and the Revitalization of Hope.

The Foundation is continually working to enhance and expand the programs and services available to patients by inviting frontline hospital staff to submit annual funding requests based on the evolving needs they observe. For fiscal year 2025–2026, the Foundation is proud to support 30 unique programs. These initiatives are designed to improve patients’ quality of life and support greater independence through activities such as art, adaptive sports, gardening, peer support groups, and community reintegration. Led by highly trained therapists, these programs fill critical gaps—addressing patient needs that are not typically covered by insurance or traditional funding sources.

Additional ongoing programs the Foundation supports also include monthly food distributions, community outings, art classes, wheelchair basketball, and Rancho staff wellbeing and continuing education so that they can continue to provide top-tier treatment for our patients. The Foundation’s efforts aim to restore health, hope, and independence while fostering a supportive community for those living with a disability.
